So I’m completely redoing the server and clients. There is one workgroup server (Xserve G4, one 250Gb Drive) and a bunch of G4s/G5s.

My most time consuming problem is that there is no high speed machines or networks to use for backing up the system. My normal procedure for a setup like this would be to either mirror the hard disk or use a new hard disk, keeping the old one in tact (just in case). Secondly, they have about 200Gb of data, and all the workstations are 60 or 80Gb. No firewire enclosure to spare either (here or at my house)
